POSITION SUMMARY
Ohio Christian University seeks an Adjunct Professor of Music for the Circleville Campus to teach core music courses as needed, and to direct our instrumental ensembles.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Instrumental Ensemble course will be an evening or TBA course open to a variety of members. In addition to OCU students who sign up to earn college credit, the instructor will have the flexibility to recruit participants students from a variety of settings such as 1) area high schools who may have the option of earning CCP credit, 2) OCU students who participate as non-credit volunteer members, or 3) members of local community bands.
The core music course immediately open will be Music Fundamentals, followed in the Spring Semester by Music Theory I and Aural Skills I.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Education, Training and Experience:
- Graduate degree in music
- Experience and training in instrumental performance and pedagogy
- Experience leading instrumental ensembles
- Skills and Abilities:
- The ideal candidate will have motivation and resources for recruiting ensemble members, and the ability to adapt music and programming to create a satisfying experience for a variety of instrumentalists.
