Iron Hammer Music is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Music Accountant to support our financial operations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the music industry, particularly label or artist-side accounting, who understands the nuances of royalty tracking, music revenue streams, and digital distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile all financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Track income from DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.), publishing, sync, and performance royalties
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Assist with budgeting and cash flow projections for releases and campaigns
- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal review
- Ensure timely and accurate royalty calculations and statements for artists and partners
- Coordinate with distribution partners and PROs for revenue tracking and reporting
- Support tax prep and reporting needs as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably within the music/entertainment industry
- Familiarity with music royalties, licensing income, and digital revenue reporting
- Accounting proficiency in (please submit)
