Purple Deer Music Academy of Fairfield is seeking a qualified Private Piano Teacher to take over a Thursday afternoon/evening schedule and continue to build it. Current hours are 4-7:30pm. The schedule can expand to begin at 3:00 and end at 8:00. Your excellent teaching skills, creativity and ability to relate to students of all ages (we start as young as 4) and will create enjoyable and fun weekly private lessons for them. Being able to teach more than one instrument is not necessary but a plus. Piano must be your primary instrument. This is a schedule that includes a few late intermediate piano students that are studying classical music so you must be able to teach classical music to more advanced students and prepare them for Young Musician's Festival. The ideal candidate is classically trained.
Purple Deer Music Academy takes care of all the administrative work such as billing, marketing and organizing. You are free to teach your best lessons without all the hassle.
Starting pay is $44 an hour.
This position begins in January. You will be required to attend two sessions with the current teacher and students in December before we go on holiday break.
