Piano Instructor for Music School
Job Summary
East Valley School of Music (www.evsm.net) is looking to hire a PIANO INSTRUCTOR who is able to teach from our 16-studio music school at 4835 S Arizona Ave., Chandler 85248. East Valley School of Music (www.evsm.net) is the premier music school in the East Valley. We are looking for a music instructor who shares our passion for teaching. We are looking for an applicant who can teach at least 2 or 3 days. Instructor teaching times are 3:00-8:00 Monday-Friday and 10:00-4:00 Saturday. We hire instructors as independent contractors, not employees.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Teach private piano lessons, primarily to students ages 7 to 17. Teach students how to read music, technique required to play fluently, music theory, and how to perform in front of an audience.
- Teaching group classes opportunities available, but not required.
- Must be organized and use curriculum, but also able to customize to suit the needs of each student.
- Must be a team player, able to follow school policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Music degree strongly preferred. Ability to read music proficiently.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
- Must have a resume and 1 letter of recommendation from a school, teaching studio, or colleague.
- Must be a U.S. citizen. We cannot hire instructors with temporary work visas.

Our 4,800 square foot building features 16 teaching rooms, and large performance hall. We are dedicated to providing a strong musical foundation for students of all ages and levels. By using a progressive mix of curriculum and customized private lessons, students learn how to read music fluently, develop technical proficiency, understand fundamental theory concepts, perform in front of an audience, compose their own music, and improvise popular music.
