We are seeking a passionate Music Therapist to join our team in Wekiva Springs. In this role, you will utilize music therapy techniques to support patients in their recovery journey, enhancing their emotional well-being and promoting healing. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized music therapy treatment plans.
- Conduct music therapy sessions for individuals and groups.
- Assess patient needs and progress through regular evaluations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate music therapy into overall treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families about the benefits of music therapy in recovery.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to program development.
- Stay updated on best practices in music therapy and behavioral health.
- Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Music Therapy or related field.
- Board certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC).
- Strong background in addiction counseling and mental health treatment.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
