Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our mental health and behavioral services team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapy services to diverse populations, including children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, and those in hospice or outpatient settings. This role involves delivering evidence-based interventions such as behavioral therapy, art therapy, music therapy, dance therapy, recreational therapy, and group or individual counseling. The Therapist will be responsible for maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as behavioral therapy, art therapy, music therapy, dance therapy, recreational therapy, and other modalities tailored to client needs.
- Provide specialized counseling for patients with autism, developmental disabilities, dementia, addiction issues, and mental health concerns.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical goals and ensure progress is documented accurately in medical records.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by securely managing patient information and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care plans.
- Support patients’ emotional well-being through compassionate listening and tailored therapeutic interventions.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health and therapeutic modalities.
- Assist in outpatient programs or hospice care settings as needed, ensuring quality patient care in accordance with facility standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required; licensure or certification preferred.
- Proven experience in behavioral health settings working with children, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and those receiving hospice or outpatient care.
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities including behavioral therapy, art therapy, music therapy, dance therapy, recreational therapy, and group or individual counseling.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to medical records management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $33.01 - $80.00 per hour
