JOB TITLE: Worship Leader
JOB SUMMARY: The Faith City Church is a new church launching in February of 2025 in the Columbus, OH area. We are seeking a leader who has a deep love for God and worship who can build a strong worship team and work in line with our Sr. Pastors vision to deliver a dynamic and powerful Sunday experience.
KEY OBJECTIVES
1. The Worship Leader will be fully devoted to God and to the church of Jesus Christ and be committed to expressing that devotion through heart-felt worship. The leader will have a heart and love for worship and the ability to share this love in leading, engaging and developing others.
2. They will partner with the Senior Pastor in designing and planning inspiring and diverse worship services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Work in conjunction with pastors to plan weekly worship services
- Serve as general consultant and resource person for all worship and music activities
- Primary role in identifying, teaching, and developing worship volunteers to fill voluntary positions in worship leadership
- Coordinate and assist in fostering a welcoming and positive Sunday Worship environment and experience
- Direct, assist, support and nurture music ministry leaders and volunteers vocationally and spiritually
- Recruit equip, and grow participation in worship related ministries.
- Organize music and worship content for church sponsored community events
- Attend monthly leadership meetings
- Attend meetings with Pastor(s)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Accepts without reservation the Faith City Church Statement of Faith
- Actively participates in the Church as a active member
- Agree to uphold FCC's leadership standards
- Must have an associates degree
- Possess strong administration and organizational skills with the ability and enthusiasm to identify, encourage, and recruit volunteers to grow an extensive worship culture for all ages
- Interactive and engaging worship leadership style
- Strong interpersonal skills and an emphasis on relational ministry
- Lead a God honoring healthy marriage if married
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Uphold Godly Character
- Desire and ability to engage with people of all ages to use their musical gifts and talents in congregational life
- Minimum of 3-5 years of church related experience planning, leading and directing worship with exposure and knowledge of a variety of music types, including contemporary Christian music and traditional Christian music.
- Remains professional and courteous even in the most difficult situations
- Highly dependable and trustworthy and able to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines with minimal day-to- day supervision
- Ability to focus on important information and identify key details
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Works well with others, Is proactive, takes initiative, and completes tasks before being asked or forced to by events
- Well versed in the use of technology, including PCs, copiers, etc. with demonstrated proficiency in both MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) and Google Products (Gmail, Drive, and Calendar)
- Experience using worship management and scheduling tools such as Easy Worship and Planning Center is a must
- Background check required
- Successful verification of three (3) personal references and three (3) professional references
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Most responsibilities will take place on Sundays from 9am -1pm, and in supporting the Sr. Pastor's meetings.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
