Duties
- Perform live music during theater productions, rehearsals, and special events.
- Collaborate with directors, choreographers, and other musicians to create cohesive performances.
- Interpret musical scores and adapt as necessary to suit the production's needs.
- Participate in rehearsals to refine musical arrangements and ensure seamless integration with the performance.
- Maintain instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition for performances.
- Attend meetings and discussions regarding production elements, providing input on musical aspects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new music styles that can enhance performances.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a musician with a strong portfolio of performances.
- Proficiency in one or more musical instruments; vocal skills are a plus.
- Background or interest in theater is highly desirable.
- Ability to read sheet music and adapt to various musical styles.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as required by production schedules.
