Guitar Instructor – Online Lessons

All Around Music provides fun, easy, and interactive virtual music lessons for children and adults who care about improving skills while enjoying the magic of music.

Here is what we are looking for:

BA or Higher in Music (Education, General, or Performance) with Guitar as the primary instrument.
Preferably 2+ years of current teaching experience as a public school music teacher, or 5+ years of experience as a public school music teacher if not currently employed in an institute
Five or more years of private guitar teaching
Three or more years of online guitar teaching
Worked with ages six and up
Technology Savvy (Proficient at Zoom, Windows, Android, and iOS)
Exceptionally proficient in teaching in an online setting. All selected applicants will go through a vigorous process demonstrating their online pedagogy
A teaching license is preferred but not required
Ability to teach a wide variety of repertoire and genres including Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Metal, and Contemporary styles
All applicants must have professional audio/video studio equipment before proceeding to the online performance/education assessment interview

Responsibilities and Skills/Traits:

Prepare appropriate guitar lesson plans for each class/session
Teach group and private guitar lessons
Evaluate student performance and learning and provide regular and timely feedback to students and parents
Promptly respond and communicate student and program learning outcomes to the client (All Around Music)
Create a weekly practice objectives sheet for each student per lesson
Maintain student behavioral standards to ensure a productive and disciplined environment during group or individual lessons, practices, and performances
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students
Adapt teaching materials or techniques according to student needs
