Position: Daycare/Preschool Music InstructorLocation: Columbus AreaType: Part-Time Contractor

Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Music Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and children, along with the ability to create a fun and engaging learning environment. Instructors travel to daycare/preschool centers in the Columbus area to teach music classes that are 20-30 minutes long. Shifts at each location are between 2-4 hours. All instructors are given paid training as well as a comprehensive curriculum to use in their classes.

Current shift openings: We are looking for people with availability 1-5 mornings a week, or may have some afternoon shift opportunities for the right candidate. We are looking for instructors to join us for a long term relationship AND looking for summer only instructors.

Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging music lessons tailored to young children in daycare and preschool settings.
Foster a joyful and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe and excited to learn
Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and developmental stages.
Encourage and support children’s musical growth, creativity, and self-expression.
Maintain integrity and honesty in all interactions with children, parents, and staff.
Ensure timeliness and consistency in lesson delivery and attendance.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child’s progress and any upcoming music events or performances.
Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications:

A joyful demeanor and a passion for working with young children necessary.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
Reliable transportation to travel between different daycare/preschool locations.
Commitment to the values of integrity, honesty, and timeliness.
A background in music, early childhood education, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience teaching music to young children is highly desirable.
Strong musical skills, including proficiency in one or more instruments preferred.
