Cape Island Baptist Church is a Christ-centered congregation located in beautiful Cape May, NJ. We are seeking a passionate and skilled musician to help lead our church in meaningful worship experiences during our Sunday morning services.

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a part-time Worship Leader who is proficient in guitar and/or piano to lead the congregation in praise and worship music during Sunday morning services. This individual will work in coordination with the pastor and music committee to provide an atmosphere of spiritual worship that enhances our services.

Responsibilities:

Lead the congregation in praise and worship music using guitar, piano, or both.
Collaborate with the pastor and music committee to select appropriate music for weekly services.
Facilitate and coordinate special music for select services (e.g., holidays, special events, choir, etc.).
Optionally lead the church's chime choir (not a requirement).

Qualifications:

Proficiency in guitar and/or piano.
Prior experience leading worship in a church setting preferred but not required.
Ability to work collaboratively with church leadership and volunteers.
A heart for worship and a desire to serve the Lord through music.
Schedule is primarily Sunday mornings, with occasional additional services as needed (Christmas, Easter, etc).
Compensation: Competitive hourly or service-based stipend, based on experience and availability.
