Teachers in the Chillicothe City Schools are Highly qualified by the federal definition. The number of Academic Stipends have increased each year as teachers work to upgrade their certificates and licenses and learn new ways to instruct Chillicothe City School students.

One hundred forty-five of the two hundred twenty-two certified staff in the school district have a masters or masters plus degree.

Our veteran staff is one of our greatest assets. One hundred and fifty-nine of two hundred and twenty-two (68.4%) of the certificated staff in the district have eleven or more years of service in education. With their many years of experience, they are able to meet the needs of the students and assist in our mentoring programs with our new teachers. They are also the reason why our curriculum, extracurricular activities, and overall educational programs are successful. They are also considered highy qualified by the new standards and are instrumental in us meeting the new federal guidelines established through the No Child Left Behind Act.
