The Contemporary Worship Leader is a spiritual and organizational leader who oversees the worship and music ministry of the contemporary worship service, coordinates with the worship team for involvement at services and special events, and coordinates the technology aspects of audio and visual elements utilized during the contemporary worship service.

Qualifications:

- Ability to clearly communicate a testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with God.

- Experience in leading worship, vocals, musicians and production team(s).

- A clear calling to serve in this kind of ministry role and ability to articulate that calling.

- Track record of success in building teams.

- Proficiency in instrumentation (piano, guitar, drums, etc.) with the ability to lead/sing

while playing.

- Experience as a leader and recruiter of volunteers.

- Strong communication skills and ability to relate and build relationships.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for casting vision and building the culture of the CMCA

contemporary worship service.

- Building teams of musicians and production members that have a passion for

leading the church in worship.

- Responsible for scheduling and managing teams.

- Ensuring all the technology needs of worship service is met. Including, but

not limited to, lighting, audio and video.

- Plan the weekly worship service in coordination with clergy, program staff,

and volunteers.

- Direct all weekly rehearsals with the worship team.

- Schedule band members and volunteers to oversee technology, sound, and

lighting.

- Create set designs for worship space.

- Set annual goals for the worship ministry, which are in line with the vision and

mission of the church.

- Ensure adherence to all copyrights and licenses, working in conjunction with staff

and volunteers.

- Be flexible and have a teachable spirit to handle the shifting responsibilities as

growth and ministry develop.

- Attend staff meetings and worship planning gatherings as time allows.

- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Pastoral or Executive Leadership Team.

Professional Skills:

- Scheduling of Volunteer Musicians and Production in Planning Center

- Scheduling of music in Planning Center

- Building presentations in ProPresenter

- Training of Production Volunteers on Sound, Lighting and Video (Including Livestream)

- Able to use or learn In-Ear Monitoring Systems (to be used as needed in worship).

Salary: Related to experience (approximate range $20,000-$35,000)
