Description

The Associate Worship Pastor will support the Worship Pastor by building and developing teams, cultivating music and creative arts, and helping to plan, conduct, and evaluate the comprehensive Worship Arts Ministry at Genesis Church. This role involves leadership in both the spiritual and creative aspects of worship, ensuring excellence and authenticity in all expressions.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

Serve under the direction of the Worship Pastor and church leadership to help carry out the vision of Genesis Church Worship.

Lead worship at Genesis Church services as needed, including all weekend gatherings and monthly midweek prayer nights.

Collaborate in planning and shaping the worship experience for all services, ensuring excellence, creativity, and spiritual impact.

Recruit, schedule, and manage musicians, vocalists, and contracted sound engineers to build a strong and reliable worship team.

Lead and oversee weekly rehearsals in preparation for weekend services, working alongside various worship leaders.

Support the production of seasonal special events (e.g., Easter, Christmas, and other church-wide gatherings).

Mentor and develop younger worship leaders in middle school, high school, and young adult ministries, cultivating a culture of worship across generations.

Up to date with current ministry trends through various resources and conferences.

Self-led, self-starter, and goal-oriented worker.

Music & Technical Skillset

Strong voice and musician
Able to lead worship with an instrument
Able to lead a vocal team, including the arranging and teaching of vocal parts.
Able to direct a modern worship band

Experience

Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience leading congregations in worship.

Recommendation from a pastor or ministry leader you have served alongside.

Demonstrated ability to pastor, mentor, and build strong worship and volunteer teams.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 26 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Roseville, CA 95678
