As a Music Therapist at Hopewell, you will play a vital role in our therapeutic community by using music as a tool to help residents manage their mental illness and enhance their emotional well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals while working in a unique and supportive environment.

This is a part-time as needed (PRN) position working 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized music therapy treatment plans for residents.
Utilize music interventions to address emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals.
Facilitate group music therapy sessions that promote engagement and social interaction.
Assess residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and resident progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program.
Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) preferred.
Member American Music Therapy Association (required)
Experience working with individuals with mental illness or disabilities is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Pass pre-employment background checks and drug test.
Valid Driver License
