Worship Team Coordinator - Job Description

The WTC facilitates and organizes people on worship teams. Acts as a spiritual, administrative and organizational leader for people desiring to aspire to be involved on worship teams. Toward this end, the WTC works with the Nexus and members of the worship community and serves as a positive role model for those people.

The WTC is committed to influencing others in a way consistent with the mission and goals of Nexus. The WTC should display a commitment to encourage and influence people of all ages, through both example and speech, in their personal relationship with God and their relationships with others.

Coordinates with:

Duties

· This is a 10-hour a week commitment that may have significant variance week to week. We expect this individual to be part of at least four (4) major events each year including our conference.

· Coordinate with teams worship activities.

· Participate with scheduling worship teams.

· Develop worship leaders as Nexus grows through seeing opportunities for ministry.

· Work with teams on developing Song list, use of Planning Center for weekly worship.

· Be a part of a weekly staff meeting with the pastoral and administrative team

· Be a liaison with the lead pastor and administrative assistant on the selection and communication of new team members.

Requirements

· Must possess a service-minded attitude.

· Must have a clear Christian testimony and exhibit a maturing and growing relationship with Christ.

· Must possess demonstrated ability and problem-solving skills.

· Must exhibit written, oral, interpersonal, leadership, administrative, and organizational skills.

· Must maintain confidentiality of information that people share.

Physical Demands

Moderate. Jumping, lifting, pushing, sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping. Vision to include: near, far, color, and field of vision. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Note: This is a volunteer position that will be periodically evaluated and the role may change over time with growth leading to compensation. We hope to find finds to bless this person especially during busy times.
