Private Music Instructor Job Description

Job Title: Voice and/or Piano Instructor

Reports To: Owner

General Statement of Duties: Peacock’s Performing Arts Center is looking for a skilled music instructor that is passionate about developing student’s musical abilities in the areas of voice and/or piano. The music instructor will be responsible for developing and executing a weekly lesson plan, appropriate for their student’s abilities. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for music are requirements of this position.

Hourly Compensation: Based on experience

Working Conditions: Indoor air-conditioned music room

Job Segments:

Ability to teach strong technique to all levels and ages
This position requires a background in musical education and performance.
Love and passion for music
Provide a safe, clean, quality instruction
Good communication skills with participants and parents

Education/Experience:

A degree in music is preferred, but applicants with high levels of experience and training may also apply. Applicants should be proficient in music theory and instrument technique.

This job description may not be all-inclusive and independent contracted instructors are expected to perform all other duties as assigned and directed by the owners. Job description and duties may be modified when deemed appropriate by owners.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
