Violin Instructor Opportunity

Are you a skilled violinist with a genuine passion for teaching? Providence School of Music—the largest music school in Providence, RI—is seeking an experienced violin instructor to teach an established full schedule of students.

At Providence School of Music, we handle all the behind-the-scenes work—advertising, scheduling, billing, and student/family communication—so you can focus on what matters most: teaching music. Our full-time office staff manages the desk, phone, text, and email, making life easier for our teachers.

Unlike many schools, PSM teachers do not teach makeup lessons and are paid for every student on their schedule, regardless of attendance. This ensures a consistent, predictable teaching day and respects your time as a professional.

With over 600 enrolled students, we offer steady, reliable work in a supportive and professional environment. While a college degree in music is encouraged, it’s not required. Some of our strongest teachers are seasoned performers with 10+ years of experience who connect well with children and bring energy and warmth into the studio.

What we’re looking for:

A dedicated violin instructor available to teach a full day of lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays
Enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine love of teaching
Ability to teach beginner piano (a big plus, but not required)
Ability to double on piano is a huge plus
