Senior Music Connection is seeking a part time music therapist to join our team! The music therapist would be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing music therapy activities for adults with dementia, hospice patients, and persons who are differently-abled mentally and physically.

Job Responsibilities:

Uses individual needs assessment, establishes sessions that improve and maintain mental and physical well-being of clients, influences behavioral and psychological goals such as increased comprehension of self, environment, and physical ability in accordance with patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, capabilities, and interests.
Creates and participates in group or individual appropriate interventions designed to meet client’s physical or psychological needs.
Studies and analyzes patients’ reactions to various experiences and prepares reports describing symptoms indicative of progress or regression.
Submits periodic reports to trained and knowledgeable leadership team. Provide clinical data for evaluation and session strategy.

Qualifications:

Registered as a Music Therapist with the credentials board

Schedule:
Schedule can be flexible pertaining to the needs of the Music Therapist as well as the facility and residents.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
