Job Overview
St. Josephine Bakhita School, located at 1566 Ferris Road in Columbus, is seeking a part-time or full-time Music Teacher for the 2024/2025 School Year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students of various ages and backgrounds, creating engaging music lessons, and fostering a love for music.

Duties
- Develop and implement music lesson plans tailored to students' skill levels and interests
- Organize and oversee student performances
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment

Required Skills
- Experience working with children or students in a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of music theory and proficiency in playing musical instruments
- Ability to tailor teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching music

- Prior experience teaching music in an elementary school.

- Hold an appropriate Ohio teaching license (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach

- Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks

- Have attended or be willing to attend a VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training

- Catholic preferred but not required

- Candidate must complete an online teaching application with the Diocese of Columbus
