St. Mary’s United Church of Christ is actively recruiting for a dedicated and talented Church Accompanist to join our team. This role is essential in enhancing the worship experience through music, providing accompaniment for various church services, events, and rehearsals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong musical background and a passion for supporting the church community through their musical talents.

Essential Functions:

n Ability to play a variety of musical styles on both the pipe organ and piano and have familiarity with a broad range of church music

n Accompany hymns, choir, and other ensembles, as needed, at service

n Select and prepare preludes, offertories, postludes, and other in-service music to complement the theme and liturgical season as requested

n Accompany the choir in scheduled rehearsals and other ensembles, as needed

n Play for special services including Holy Week, Christmas Eve, and other significant events.

n Communicate with the office staff, Choir Director, and clergy to ensure seamless service planning and to fulfill related duties

n Oversee the maintenance of instruments

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
