Job Description

St. Patrick of Heatherdowns is looking for an experienced liturgist to plan, coordinate, and execute our weekend masses, feasts and solemnities, and school masses. This person should know Catholic liturgy, traditional and contemporary worship music, and be able to work with a team to bring about the best weekend experience possible.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the Director of Music and Liturgy:
Plan all liturgies for church and school
Oversee all liturgical ministers, including training, scheduling, etc.
Direct the Liturgical Choir, assemble and lead contemporary band(s), manage musicians/instruments/rehearsals/masses
Execute all funeral and wedding liturgies as they arise

Manage music library

Assist the Environment Committee with decorating, ordering supplies, and managing liturgical inventory
Communicate with priests and deacons ensuring they are prepared for mass
Qualifications:

College degree is preferred

Proficient in piano (organ is a plus)
Confident in Catholic liturgy planning including directing ministers
Has experience leading and directing a choir
