Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Organist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music, particularly in playing the organ, and will bring creativity and enthusiasm to our performances. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and has a love for worship as the Organist will play an integral part in enhancing the overall experience of our services.

Duties

Perform on the organ during rehearsals and worship services and other special services as scheduled, ensuring high-quality musical accompaniment.
Collaborate with the Director of Music and Choir Director to select appropriate repertoire, including classical, liturgical and contemporary pieces tailored to the Sunday Services or events.
Occasionally accompany, vocalist, or other instrumentalist during Sunday services or .
Maintain the organ and ensure it is in optimal working condition for performances.
Participate in regular rehearsals and prepare music to meet the high standards of the .
Engage with members and guest professionally, adhering to the Chapel’s dress code and service oriented culture.

Requirements

Proven experience playing the organ, particularly in a theater or performance setting.
Strong understanding of musical theory and ability to read sheet music proficiently.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with other team members.
A passion for worship and an ability to adapt music selections to fit various themes and moods.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by performance schedules.
A degree in music or related field is preferred but not mandatory; equivalent experience will be considered.
