Job Overview
The Worship Leader plays a vital role in guiding the worship experience within our church. This individual will be responsible leading our already existing worship team of 5 singers, and a keyboardist. The current team is well trained on using, loop community, and click tracks to supplement what they are already doing. The Worship Leader will have a lot of freedom for creative expression to develop meaningful worship experiences that align with the church's mission and vision.
Duties
- Lead congregational worship during services, ensuring a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
- Educate and mentor musicians and vocalists, fostering their growth in musical skills and spiritual development.
- Collaborate with past to plan worship services, including special events.
- Communicate effectively with worship team.
- Organize rehearsals for musicians and vocalists, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance quality.
- Stay current with contemporary worship trends while incorporating traditional elements as appropriate.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey vision and direction to team members.
- Proficiency in playing the guitar is preferred.
- Be able to sing tenor or bass is preferred.
- Flexibility to adapt to different styles of worship as needed.
- A passion for fostering a welcoming environment for all participants in worship.
Our congregation is very youthful, with 25% of the worshipping body on Sundays coming from our youth group. The praise band has just completed a 3 month experience with a worship consultant. The worship director will over see continued growth in the worship team to enhance our Sunday worship.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10,000.00 - $13,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 2 – 4 per week
