AVENUE ASHLAND PART-TIME WORSHIP PASTOR
Who/What: A high-functioning, charismatic leader who will primarily be responsible for creating irresistible worship environments that lead believers to worship and woo non-believers to Jesus.
The Avenue team is known for having fun, working hard and making Jesus known. This position is for someone who aspires to make disciples, develop leaders, preach the Gospel, build systems and invest both in relationships. Being theologically grounded and outgoing is a must, as well as having a heart to grow as a follower of Christ with the help of others.

- Attend Ashland Team Meetings when available
- Attend Avenue Church All Staff Meetings on the first Monday night of each month
- Report to Campus Pastor
Musical Direction
Responsible for casting vision, influencing, and monitoring the musical direction of Avenue Church Ashland to ensure it is biblically accurate, musically excellent, and culturally relevant. These objectives are accomplished by:
- Meeting with Campus Pastor weekly to facilitate Sunday mornings
- Meeting with the Executive Pastor and other directors from Avenue Campuses monthly for collaboration of Avenue Worship
- Connect with other worship leaders within Avenue Campuses and in the neighboring communities
- Being a constant student of their craft musically and in their Spiritual Gifting; a lifelong learner
- Ensuring that all programming details are scripted out at least two weeks prior to the event date, including musical, technical, video, and other program notes and assets
- Overseeing worship services every week of the year as well as being willing to lead in other environments or ministries as necessary and available
- Being able to lead worship vocally and with an instrument
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring other gifted worship leaders who will lead on a weekend when you are not there
- Lead, recruit, train, and schedule multiple teams of musicians, vocalists, tech leaders, etc. to ensure adequate coverage for all services and programs.
- Pastor, coach, and care for the volunteers on worship and tech teams, which includes spending adequate time with these key volunteers to ensure they are abiding in Christ
Production (Audio, Visual, Lighting)
- A trainable person who can someday provide technical support for all Worship services at the Ashland Avenue Campus through the recruitment, development, and empowerment of volunteers in all Audio/Visual/Lighting (AVL) areas
- Able to manage and maintain all AVL technology throughout the worship center/building
- Assisting other staff when related tech issues arise
- Facilitating service recordings, and post-production of digital programming where necessary
- Perform or manage troubleshooting and repairs to your equipment/systems as needed, or letting appropriate leadership know system needs
- Learn necessary production software, like ProPresenter and Planning Center, for service planning and execution
