Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Guitar / Piano Instructor to join our music education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in guitar performance and teaching, with the ability to engage students of all ages and skill levels. This role involves creating a positive learning environment, developing lesson plans, and fostering a love for music through effective instruction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels.
- Teach guitar techniques, music theory, and performance skills in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Create a supportive and motivating atmosphere that fosters creativity and self-expression in students.
- Collaborate with other instructors to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
- Maintain an organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in school events, recitals, or performances to showcase student achievements.
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching music, specifically guitar, is preferred.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning techniques is highly desirable.
- Background in childhood development or early childhood education can be beneficial for working with younger students.
- Experience in adult education or community programs is a plus for engaging diverse age groups.
- Additional skills in related fields such as theater or culinary arts may enhance the teaching approach and enrich the learning experience.
