We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Guitar Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves developing lesson plans, educating students on guitar techniques, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Guitar Instructor will work closely with students to enhance their musical skills and inspire a lifelong appreciation for music. Available hours in Bexley, Columbus, and Worthington.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels.
- Teach guitar techniques, music theory, and performance skills in an interactive manner.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their playing abilities.
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring all students feel included and motivated.
- Organize recitals or performances to showcase student progress and build confidence.
- Collaborate with other instructors to integrate cross-disciplinary approaches, incorporating elements from theater, dance, or special education when applicable.
- Maintain open communication with students and their families regarding progress and areas for improvement.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of guitar techniques and music theory.
- Experience working with students in various settings, including preschool or special education environments.
- Excellent classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning atmosphere.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Background in related fields such as theater or dance is a plus, enhancing the creative teaching approach.
- Proficiency in photography can be beneficial for documenting student performances or events.
- Passion for educating others and fostering a love for music in students of all ages.
