Major/Essential Functions- Course topics may include applied instrument, vocal, or conducting studies at the undergraduate or graduate level (pending qualifications), graduate or undergraduate academic courses in the areas of music, history, music theory, or music education, or undergraduate courses in the area of commercial music including songwriting, recording, music business, or music industry.
- Classes may be offered using the following modalities: face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online at the Lubbock campus.
- Be able to adapt and update course content to meet curricula and student needs as well as utilize and adapt to diverse teaching modalities.
Required QualificationsThe qualified candidate is required to have a Master of Music, Doctor of Music, or Ph.D. degree. This position is for an individual with effective teaching ability as evidenced by a minimum of one year of experience as an instructor at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications- MM, DMA, or Ph.D., and/or industry experience.
- Academic degree as appropriate for the position held.
- Effective teaching ability evidenced by a minimum of one year of experience as an instructor at the university level.
