Key Outcomes65% of Time: Sing with the group and lead small group in rehearsals and performance
- Prepare music ahead of time and/or have excellent sight-reading skills
- Demonstrate healthy vocal technique and be available to share vocal knowledge with students
- Demonstrate excellent rehearsal etiquette and musicianship: asking questions, marking scores, leading from within
15% of Time: Successfully lead small group in rehearsals and performance
- Rehearse group efficiently
- Use positive techniques to teach and guide
- Demonstrate clear, positive leadership skills with verbal and written communication and conducting postures
- Assist in choosing appropriate, pleasing repertoire
5% of Time: Create Rehearsal Tracks
- Create accurate rehearsal tracks for the group's repertoire
- Do this in a timely manner in the format proscribed by the director
- Demonstrate healthy singing, good intonation, and accuracy
15% of Time: Complete Administrative Tasks
- Assist with uniform preparation
- Assist with library organization
- Assist with social media promotion
- Write program notes and help with program creation
- Assist with rosters and attendance
- Recruit by greeting students positively and attending recruiting events
- Other duties as requested by the director
