Part-Time Office Assistant (Ohio Light Opera)

Summary:
The Office Assistant will assist the Executive Director and Business and Data Manager with the duties of Ohio Light Opera. This is a part-time position working approximately 15 hours per week.
Essential Departmental Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helps the Box Office Manager organize the office for ticket sales in January.
- Maintains mailing list and takes ticket orders by either mail, phone or in person, as needed.
- Mails out ticket orders/organizes orders in Will Call.
- Be trained in Spektrix, the data and ticket office management software
- Assists with the mailings to patrons.
- Answers phone calls for general questions.
- Helps organize and process early ticket orders, and other mailings, as needed.
- Assists the Executive Director with general office duties, including donor management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.

Skills:
- Enjoys working with the public.
- Must be organized and dependable.
- Comfortable on the phone and speaking with patrons.
Knowledge:
- Familiar with PC/Apple computers and Microsoft Office.
- Must be willing to work with different types of music.
Abilities:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Environment:
- Noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
