The Music Ministry Director plays a vital and integral role in Emmanuel Lutheran Church's ministry and is a leadership partner in shaping our musical vision and direction in a blended style worship format. This position involves leading musical performances, mentoring musicians, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and growth. The Music Ministry Director works closely with various teams to strengthen the worship life of our church. Our choir loves to sing and is looking for an energetic leader with a passion for serving while sharing their faith and love of God through song and leading others in song. Job duties include:
Duties
- Lead rehearsals and performances, ensuring high-quality musical output.
- Directing ELC's vocal and instrumental groups.
- Mentoring musicians, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
- Assisting with planning of worship services.
- Communicating effectively with team members, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Developing and directing a children's music program.
- Leading congregational singing.
- Preparing and submitting annual budgets with continual monitoring of monthly expenses throughout the year.
Skills
- High level musical skills and demonstrated ability to conduct a choir.
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
- Proven leadership abilities to inspire and motivate musicians.
- Experience in mentoring individuals in a musical context, promoting personal growth and development.
- Ability to establish external relationships to support recruitment of student choir members.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $29,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
