About You
You’re a skilled musician and engaging leader who creates worship that feels authentic, accessible, and alive. You can bridge generations through music—leading choirs, bands, or small ensembles with equal joy. You’re creative, collaborative, organized, and passionate about helping people connect with God through music.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Worship: Select, arrange, and lead music that aligns with sermon themes and church seasons.
- Direct Ensembles: Work with choirs, bands, and volunteer musicians of all ages and abilities.
- Collaborate: Partner with pastors and staff to plan meaningful, well-produced services.
- Foster Community: Mentor musicians, build rotating teams, and nurture a culture of participation.
- Administer Well: Manage the music budget, coordinate schedules, and engage in church life.
Qualifications
- Christian faith aligned with JupiterFIRST’s inclusive theology
- Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent experience
- Skilled in piano/keys or guitar (both preferred) and confident vocally
- Experience leading blended worship
- Strong arranging, directing, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with worship tech (Planning Center, ProPresenter, etc.)
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Able to pass a background check
Compensation & Hours
Full-time with competitive salary and benefits (medical, dental, LTD, PTO, holidays).
Some evening/weekend work required (Christmas Eve, Easter).
