Job Description Summary:The Section Coach assists students in rehearsals and performances as needed. This position will work on a variable schedule on a part time basis.
Required Qualifications: - Experience teaching or tutoring instrumental music students; or directly related experience.
- Experience performing instrumental music.
Preferred Qualifications: - Associate's degree in music, performance, education, or directly related field.
- Experience in a collaborative work environment
- Ability to work independently with limited direction.
Other Information:Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Attend rehearsals of SMC Bands as agreed upon and scheduled by the Director of Bands.
- Attend performances of the SMC Bands.
- Assist in individual and large group instruction of students.
- Provide support and feedback to SMC Bands' students as needed.
- Assist with administrative duties, as directed.
