Overview
We are seeking a Spirit-led Worship Leader to join our team for Sunday services. This candidate would join our program meeting on Tuesdays in person or by Zoom to prepare for the weekend. They would coordinate with the worship team, schedule volunteers, plan which songs to sing, and work alongside our current lead to continue operational and spiritual development of the team. This would be an independent contractor position with a negotiable rate based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead worship services with musical excellence and spiritual depth
- Select appropriate music for services in collaboration with the ministry team
- Rehearse and direct musicians and vocalists
- Mentor and develop musicians and vocalists
- Able to Educate the congregation on the significance of worship
Qualifications
- Demonstrate experience in leading worship services by providing footage of leading worship in a church environment to exemplify their competency.
- Be able to lead worship from a prominent instrument such as piano or guitar.
- Be familiar with Planning Center and Song Select .
-Have basic music theory and be proficient in playing musical instruments
- Strong communication skills to connect with the congregation
- Leadership abilities to guide a worship team effectively
- Ability to mentor and develop team members
