Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Music Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead music programs at our two mission churches and will collaborate with other staff and parishioners to create an enriching musical environment.
Duties
- Planning and preparation for the liturgical music at each Mass
- Provide keyboard accompaniment, both piano and organ
- Choir preparation, communications, and rehearsal as needed
- Coordinate with the Music Director at Sacred Heart to ensure consistency and appropriateness of music selections for the Catholic liturgical year
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Roman Catholic Liturgy and experience with the structure and requirements of liturgical music
- Competency with piano and organ; must read music
- Experience with directing a choir or music ensemble; ability to work comfortably and productively with varied levels of singing/musical skill
- Willingness to invite and encourage participation by volunteer choir members and musicians
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 5 per week
Work Location: In person
