Practice Queens Music Studio, a well-established educational institution in the Bay Area, is expanding its music faculty and is urgently hiring part-time Piano and Voice Instructors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach voice/piano lessons to students of various ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
- Prepare students for recitals, competitions, and auditions as needed.
- Design individualized lesson plans that foster both technical proficiency and musical expression.
- Provide detailed and constructive feedback to help students improve their technique, tone, and musical interpretation.
- Collaborate with other faculty members for ensemble opportunities and student performances.
- Encourage a positive and inspiring learning environment that cultivates a lifelong love of music.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Strong background in piano or voice performance and pedagogy.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience, preferably with both young children and teenagers.
- Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience teaching students in PreK through 5th grade.
- Voice instructors must be able to teach contemporary/pop vocal styles.
- Experience preparing students for ABRSM/CM exams, competitions, or youth orchestra auditions is a plus.
- Patience, strong communication skills, and a passion for teaching.
- Must be able to teach in person in the Bay Area—remote applications will not be considered.
COMPENSATION
- $45 - $70 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
