We are seeking a Music Engineer to play a central role in shaping the sound, quality, and creative output of our live music venues and recording studio operations. This is a unique, hands-on position that blends live concert sound engineering, studio production, and studio operations management.
The right candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional audio quality for live performances, overseeing recording studio rentals, supporting artists during sessions, and helping grow a creative ecosystem around our venues and studio space.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically skilled, artist-friendly, organized, and excited by variety. No two days will look the same.
Key ResponsibilitiesLive Music & Events
- Manage and engineer live sound for concerts and events hosted at our venues
- Ensure consistent, high-quality audio across all performances
- Assist with setup, sound checks, troubleshooting, and breakdown
- Work directly with artists, performers, and event teams to meet technical needs
Recording Studio Operations
- Manage daily operations of the recording studio
- Oversee hourly studio rentals and scheduling
- Support artists and producers during recording sessions
- Maintain studio equipment, signal flow, and overall sound quality
- Ensure studio readiness, cleanliness, and professional standards
Music Production & Creative Support
- Assist with music production, recording, and engineering as needed
- Collaborate with artists on projects when appropriate
- Help cultivate a creative, welcoming environment for musicians
- Support the growth of studio offerings and creative programming
General Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize audio equipment and inventory
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively
- Uphold professional, artist-first service standards
- Communicate clearly with management regarding scheduling, needs, and improvements
Qualifications
- Experience in live sound engineering and/or studio engineering
- Strong understanding of audio equipment, signal flow, and sound systems
- Comfortable working with a wide range of artists and music styles
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends (live events)
Preferred but not required:
- Experience managing studio rentals or creative spaces
- Music production or mixing background
- Familiarity with DAWs and recording workflows
