This role is structured to provide entry-level, transferable experience relevant to careers at major music companies, labels, and media organizations, including Sony Music, Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group, and independent music/entertainment institutions.
Position Overview
We are seeking an Entry-Level Music Administration & Sync Licensing Assistant to support daily operations across music, events, and media projects.
This hands-on role introduces youth to the professional workflows of the music industry, including:
- Administrative operations for artists and music projects
- Sync licensing preparation and catalog management
- Event and production support
Candidates will gain career-ready, resume-building experience applicable to both major and independent music companies.
Key ResponsibilitiesMusic Administration & Sync Licensing
- Assist in organizing music files, stems, and digital assets for licensing opportunities
- Upload music to internal systems, libraries, and submission platforms
- Track music submissions, pitches, and potential sync placements
- Maintain a sync-ready music catalog
- Support rights tracking and clearance documentation under supervision
Administrative & Production Support
- Assist with artist scheduling, studio bookings, and event coordination
- Maintain digital files, contracts, and operational documents
- Support marketing coordination, including social media scheduling and asset organization
- Assist with run-of-show documents and event logistics
- Help leadership team with calendar and project support
Skills & Learning Opportunities
Youth participants will gain:

Qualifications
- Ages 16–24 (Pierce County residents preferred)
- Interest in music, media, entertainment, or creative industries
- Basic computer skills (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar)
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work in a collaborative environment
- No prior experience required — training and mentorship provided
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Workforce Program Eligibility
This role may be funded through Youth Workforce / Work Experience (WEX) programs. Program requirements are determined by the workforce partner and may include:
