The MusicStart on-site elementary after school program (beginmusic.com) runs engaging kids’ beginner music classes.
This ad is for opportunities in New Rochelle, Larchmont, and Mamaroneck in Westchester County NY.
We are looking for general kids' music teachers (any instrumentalist can teach this), as well as guitar teachers. (Cool if you are both!) Experience and ability with kids is more important than any degree.
Each class has 1 class meeting per week on the same day, and openings are potentially any day Mon-Fri.
Most classes are 3:15-4:15 (arrive early) and some in New Rochelle are 3-4pm or 3:45-4:45pm (arrive early). The term is 8 class meetings, 1hr each class meeting, 1 time per week. Qualified instructors may teach more than 1 class per week if available.
Classes start beginning of Mar'26.
Pays $55-75 per visit depending on class size 5-15+ elementary kids.

We developed a portable educational electronic keyboard, called the MusicStart Keyboard. Each child gets one to use in class. Students learn to read music and play familiar tunes through color, letter, and musical notation matching. They prepare for taking any musical instrument, and at the same time they learn step by step problem solving. All materials are provided.
