Job Description
The Tour Department Manager role is responsible for managing all financial aspects of tour for all touring clientele by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage a detailed tour budget which includes all travel, production costs, artist fees, and other tour related expenses.
- Prepare financial reports and statements to track tour performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with tour managers, promoters, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Responsible for show costing and budgeting, preparing profit and loss for settled events.
- Review deal memos/contracts & extract information for future reconciliation.
- Create tour and/or tax packages in conjunction with tax department.
- Reconcile settlements after events.
- Knowledge of tour routing and deal memos is a plus.
Skills and Qualifications
- Industry-specific experience in music and touring environments is required.
- Experience working in the entertainment industry, either as an accountant or in a related role is required.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing tour finances.
- Experience using accounting specialized software. AgiLink experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
