Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music and a commitment to fostering a love for music in students of all ages. This role involves teaching various musical concepts, instruments, and techniques while creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Teach music theory, vocal techniques, and instrumental skills across different age groups, including preschool, early childhood education, and adult education.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their musical growth.
- Support and Participate in school performances, recitals, and other musical events to showcase student achievements.
- Collaborate with other educators in interdisciplinary projects that may include elements of theater, creative arts, education, or culinary arts.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in music education.
Skills
- Proficient in at least one musical instrument and/or vocal techniques. Proficiency in 2 or more instruments or one instrument plus fine arts experience is desired.
- Strong lesson planning abilities tailored for different age groups, including preschool through adult education.
- Kind. professional demeanor that is welcoming to people of all backgrounds
- Experience in tutoring students in music theory or practical skills.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to effectively guide student learning.
- Familiarity with integrating arts such as theater into music education is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey musical concepts and engage students.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $45.00 per hour
