ELF THE MUSICAL

Weathervane Playhouse, Director Kevin Lambes, and the artistic team of Elf the Musical are seeking a diverse cast of talented and committed actors, dancers, and singers ages 8 and above to bring this new holiday classic to life.

All roles are available to auditioners of any ethnicity and qualifying age.

DATES & TIMES

• Sunday, September 10, 2023 – 3:00PM to 7:30PM
• Monday, September 11, 2023 – 6:00PM to 9:00PM
• Tuesday, September 12, 2023 – 6:00PM to 9:00PM
• Callbacks, if necessary, will be held the evening of Wednesday, September 13

WHAT TO PREPARE

• Auditions will consist of vocal performance and a 30-minute movement/dance audition within an hour timeframe.
• Please prepare a 16-32 measure selection of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. Please provide sheet music for your piece in readable condition.
• Please dress in attire appropriate for the movement/dance call. Time and space will be provided for all auditioning to change prior to and after the movement/dance call, if necessary.
• Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time.
• Please provide a headshot and resume (if available) at your audition.

CONFLICT DATES

Please be prepared to provide rehearsal date conflicts at your audition.

• Conflict dates provided at this audition will be taken into consideration when creating detailed rehearsal schedules. Absences for conflicts provided at this audition will be considered “excused.”
• Conflicts provided after casting will be approved at the discretion of the director and artistic team. Unapproved absences will be considered “unexcused” and may ultimately result in a performer’s dismissal from the cast.

REHEARSALS

Rehearsals are scheduled to take place Sundays 4:00PM to 7:00 PM and Mondays through Thursdays 6:00PM to 9:00PM beginning Tuesday, September 19th, 2023. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided following the casting process. Cast members will be called to rehearsal on an as-needed basis.

TECHNICAL REHEARSALS

Technical Rehearsals are mandatory for all performers. These rehearsals are schedule to take place:

• Thursday, November 16, 2023 – 6:00PM to 10:00PM
• Saturday, November 18, 2023 – 2:00PM to 8:00PM
• Sunday, November 19, 2023 – 2:00PM to 8:00PM
• Monday, November 20, 2023 – 6:00PM to 10:00PM
• Tuesday, November 21, 2023 – 6:00PM to 10:00PM
• Wednesday, November 22, 2023 – 6:00PM to 11:00PM

PERFORMANCES

Elf the Musical is scheduled for a total of 17 performances from November 24 to December 17, 2023.

• Tuesday, December 5, 2023 – Call Time 9:00AM | Curtain 10:00AM
• Wednesday, December 13, 2023 – Call Time 9:00AM | Curtain 10:00AM
• Thursdays, November 30 & December 7 and 14 – Call Time 6:00PM | Curtain 7:30PM
• Fridays, November 24 & December 1, 8, and 15 – Call Time 6:00PM | Curtain 7:30PM
• Saturdays, November 25 & December 2, 9, and 16 – Call Time 6:00PM | Curtain 7:30PM
• Sundays, November 26 & December 3, 10, and 17 – Call Time 1:00PM | Curtain 2:30PM
