Position Summary:
Adjunct (Part-Time) Instructor of Collaborative Piano (Non-Tenure Track). Arkansas State University (A-State) is recruiting applicants for an Adjunct Collaborative Pianist beginning August 16, 2026. The successful candidate will rehearse and perform as a collaborative pianist for student and faculty recitals, lessons, and rehearsals, for both vocalists and instrumentalists, and will rehearse and perform with choirs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be directed toward other musical opportunities in the area such as private piano teaching, sacred music, and additional performance activities, as desired.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrate strong ability in collaborative piano with singers and instrumentalists.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all university constituents.
Demonstrate reliability and strong organizational skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree in Piano or Collaborative Piano is required, Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups associated with a major university music program including students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, and community members.
