Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Music Teacher who loves inspiring both children and adults through the joy of music and movement. In this role, you will lead engaging, developmentally appropriate classes that support early childhood development while nurturing creativity, confidence, and social-emotional growth across all ages. The ideal candidate brings warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with diverse learners, creating a vibrant and supportive environment where every student feels encouraged to explore instruments, use their voice, move freely, and express themselves through music. Our program includes early childhood music classes, private lessons in all ages, camps, and enrichment programs, offering meaningful opportunities to connect with families and build lasting musical foundations.
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging music curriculum to parents and young children, thoughtfully tailored to early childhood developmental stages and incorporating singing, rhythm exploration, movement, and musical storytelling.
- Lead interactive, high-energy classes that foster participation, creativity, and joyful learning for preschool-aged children and families.
- Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment through effective behavior management and positive guidance strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, sharing progress updates and offering suggestions to extend musical learning at home.
- Integrate artistic elements such as live instrument playing, dance, theater, storytelling, and puppetry to create immersive and memorable lessons.
- Plan and coordinate special performances, showcases, and recitals that celebrate students’ growth and build confidence.
- Maintain organized lesson plans, attendance records, and progress documentation in alignment with studio standards.
- Support daily studio operations, including cleaning, classroom flow, basic marketing support, and general organizational tasks.
- Teach private lessons in a variety of instruments to students ranging from children to adults.
- Assist with birthday parties, seasonal camps, musical theater productions, children’s choir, and special studio events.
Skills
- Multi-instrumental proficiency (piano, guitar, voice required; additional instruments a plus)
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Ability to lead high-energy, interactive group classes with confidence
- Classroom management skills with a positive, nurturing approach
- Strong vocal ability and comfort singing live with children and families
- Rhythm instruction and movement facilitation skills
- Creativity in lesson planning, storytelling, puppetry, and theatrical elements
- Experience teaching private lessons to children, teens, and adults
- Ability to adapt teaching style to different learning needs and ages
- Excellent communication skills with parents, caregivers, and team members
- Organizational skills including lesson planning, attendance tracking, and time management
- Team-oriented mindset with flexibility and willingness to support camps, performances, and special events
- Basic marketing and studio support capabilities

Pay: $17.00 - $40.00 per hour
