Responsibilities
- Collaborate with theater production teams to design and implement musical arrangements that enhance storytelling and audience engagement
- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of sound equipment, microphones, speakers, and other audio technology
- Rehearse with performers to ensure seamless integration of music into theatrical performances
- Coordinate with directors and stage managers to synchronize musical cues with live action on stage
- Curate playlists or musical selections for various events or performances, ensuring they align with thematic elements
- Conduct sound checks and troubleshoot technical issues promptly during rehearsals and live shows
- Support the development of original compositions or arrangements tailored to specific productions or projects
Experience
- Proven experience working in theater productions or live performance environments involving music
- Familiarity with audio engineering equipment and software used in theatrical settings
- Strong understanding of musical theory, arrangement, and orchestration principles
- Experience collaborating with directors, performers, and technical teams to achieve cohesive performances
- Knowledge of theater-specific sound design techniques is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing production needs and troubleshoot technical challenges efficiently
