Wilder School District is looking for a qualified High School Teacher to prepare students for college by teaching them the essential knowledge and skills that are required for success in life. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about teaching and helping students achieve their dreams.
Responsibilities
- Develop an appropriate curriculum based on the needs of the program and the student
- Assess students’ abilities and identify those areas in which they have a limited ability
- Develop a curriculum that addresses their specific needs and provide them with all the knowledge and skills they need to be successful
- Teach various courses that will help students develop their personalities
- Establish and maintain a good relationship with students and encourage a student-centered atmosphere
- Follow all state licensing requirements
Skills
- Experience working with high school students is preferred, but not required.
- Good understanding of academic subjects (e.g. grammar, reading, writing, history, math) and career choices (preferred, but not required)
- Understanding of how to provide a meaningful education to students with different personalities
- Outstanding teacher skills, able to engage students and create a positive learning environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,252.00 - $69,000.00 per year
