Duties
- Perform as part of the choir or musical ensemble during rehearsals and live performances, ensuring energetic and precise execution of musical pieces
- Collaborate closely with conductors, directors, and fellow musicians to interpret arrangements and achieve cohesive performances
- Prepare for performances by practicing assigned pieces, maintaining proficiency on your instrument or vocal parts
- Assist in setting up and tuning instruments or sound equipment as needed to ensure optimal sound quality
- Participate in rehearsals, warm-ups, and sound checks to maintain high performance standards
- Support the overall production process by contributing ideas for musical arrangements or staging when appropriate
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality at all rehearsals and performances to uphold the integrity of the ensemble
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in singing or playing a musical instrument, with a strong foundation in music theory and performance techniques
- Ability to read sheet music or follow musical cues effectively
- Experience with theater productions or stage performance is highly desirable
- Strong teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to different musical styles and directions
- Commitment to regular rehearsals and performances, demonstrating reliability and dedication
- Basic knowledge of sound equipment operation or willingness to learn is a plus
