Position: Organist
Job Summary
Seeking a part-time organist with occasional piano duties for Olivet Moravian Church. Olivet is a traditional Moravian church with in-person attendance averaging 75 with additional people watching via livestream. The Organist supports the music ministry and coordinates with the pastor and choir director, playing Sunday services, special services during the liturgical year and attending all choir rehearsals once weekly.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an experienced and practiced musician with strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to be a team player.
Minimum Requirements
· Acceptance and understanding of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
· Knowledge of Moravian liturgies and hymns.
· Previous experience as an organist in a Christian church environment.
· A willingness to commit to the position long term.
Job Type
· Part-time and approximately 5 to 7 hours per week.

The work location is Olivet Moravian Church, 2205 Olivet Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC.
The Organ
Our organ is an Allen model L 331 DK. It is a 3 manual Bravura Series. It has a Vista Navigator which is an integrated instrument combining a MIDI sound module, single track MIDI recorder, 4 track midi sequence recorder, and MIDI router. It also has a Console Controller which is an interface that controls many organ functions and a variety of MIDI functions.
