Provide individual and group music therapy interventions to clients with diverse developmental, behavioral, and medical needs
Conduct initial and ongoing music therapy assessments to identify strengths, needs, and functional goals
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans aligned with interdisciplinary care plans and IEP/IFSP or treatment goals
Use a variety of music therapy methods (improvisation, receptive, recreative, and composition) to support communication, motor, social-emotional, cognitive, and adaptive skills
Collaborate closely with educators, behavioral specialists, therapists, and healthcare professionals to coordinate services and ensure holistic support
Engage and educate families and caregivers, providing strategies to reinforce therapeutic gains across home, school, and community settings
Track and document client progress through data collection, session notes, and formal reports in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and IEP or care planning meetings, sharing clinical observations and recommendations
Adapt interventions to meet the needs of clients from diverse cultural, linguistic, and ability backgrounds in an inclusive and respectful manner
Contribute to a supportive, innovative, and collaborative work culture that values professional growth and continuous learning
Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices and research in music therapy and related fields
Assist with program development, outcome measurement, and quality improvement initiatives within the Healthcare & Medical Services department
Clinical music therapy techniques (improvisation, receptive, recreative, composition)

Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential required or eligibility within a defined timeframe
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Therapy from an accredited program
State-specific licensure or registration in music therapy or related field, if applicable
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Background clearance and eligibility to work in educational and healthcare settings
