The School of Arts at Karabakh University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professorof Piano. The appointment will begin 09/01/2026.
The successful candidate will teach applied piano to undergraduate studentsin the Bachelor of Music (BM) degree program and may be assigned additional coursework consistent with departmental needs and thecandidate’s expertise. The candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and to contribute to student learning outcomes inalignment with institutional and programmatic standards.
In accordance with best practices in music program accreditation, theappointee will maintain an active and visible profile as a performing artist at regional, national, and/or international levels.Responsibilities also include participation in chamber music activities, collaboration with the university orchestra, recruitment andmentorship of students, and engagement in service to the department, school, and university. The candidate will be expected to contribute tocurriculum development, assessment processes, and continuous program improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Masterof Music in Piano Performance (or equivalent professional credential)
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching andartistic performance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (DMA or PhD)
- Documented record ofsuccessful collegiate-level teaching
- Evidence of sustained professional activity as a performer, including participation inrecognized festivals, conferences, or concert venues
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment aligned withaccreditation standards
